Election Day voting will be held November 3rd, 7am-8pm
in the meeting room at the
Town Of Lyons Municipal Building, 6339 Hospital Rd, Burlington WI.
You may register to vote on Election Day with proper proof of residency.
Pre-Registration for voting closed on October 14th.
Our best Covid precautions will be exercised during in-person voting on Election Day
In-person early voting will be held on:
Wednesday, October 28th from 9am-1pm
Friday, October 30th from 1pm-5pm
State Election procedures for absentee voting will be followed. See:How to vote absentee. There has been some inquiry if on “in-person early voting days” you will be able to cast your absentee ballot directly into the voting machine. THIS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED! All absentee ballots cast prior to November 3rd should be:
- mailed to Town of Lyons, PO Box 337, Lyons, WI 53148
- placed in drop box in the lobby of the Town Municipal Center, 6339 Hospital Rd, Burlington, WI 53105
Ballots are picked up daily from these two locations. You can check the status of your ballot at: Track my ballot Due to the large number of absentee requests please refrain from contacting the town clerk if at all possible.
- In person absentee voting should be reserved for persons who are not able to vote on November 3rd due to being out of town, or going to the hospital, etc.
Absentee ballot applications are available in the Town Hall foyer and once filled out may be put in the town business drop box in the Town Hall foyer 24 hours a day.
You may go to myvote.wi.gov to apply online for absentee ballot. You should receive your ballot within a few days of applying online. Do it early! Don’t wait until the last minute. Your absentee ballot envelope will need to be witnessed by another US voter which can be your spouse.
Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is October 29th.
