NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF LYONS, WISCONSIN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be conducted by the Town of Lyons on Monday, July 14, 2025, beginning at 6:30 PM at the Town Hall to consider a proposed amendment to the Town of Lyons land use plan map in the Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan for Walworth County:2050.  The purpose of the public hearing is to accept public comments on the proposed amendment.

An application has been filed by Marcus Corporation dba Grand Geneva LLC requesting an amendment to the land use plan map as adopted in the multi-jurisdictional comprehensive plan.  The application requests that the land use plan map be amended to change the land use designation of the Tax Parcels NLY2000003 and NLY2100007 located along Sheridan Springs Road from “Transportation” to “Commercial/Recreational”.

The public may review copies of the application and the comprehensive plan report at the Town Hall during regular Town Office hours.  Interested parties may make arrangements with the Town Clerk to obtain a copy of the application at (262) 763-9936 or [email protected].

During the Public Hearing, the public is invited to speak on the application.  Written comments can be submitted to the Town Clerk prior to the meeting and shall become part of the record.  The Public Hearing shall be closed when all interested parties in attendance have had a chance to offer comment.

Upon the close of the Public Hearing, a meeting of the Town of Lyons Board shall be called to order and the application shall be addressed per the agenda.
